Day 2: Ricos

I followed up my day 1 Gordo experience with lunch from the taqueria in closest proximity to my house. Ricos (Columbus at Lombard) is a staple of my normal diet, and I definately see it being an important member of team taco this year. Usually I am a chicken man at Ricos (grilled, not boiled), but today I inexplicably chose steak for my tacos. Good choice, if I do say so myself. Loaded with guac and chese, the tender steak was just the thing I needed to fuel up for a hard afternoon of work (or hitting the gym, and then the golf range as the case may be).

  2. I would like to take issue with Senor Salty's poll, as everyone knows, with all due respect, beef and steak tacos are most definitely not the same. Perhaps changing it to just carne asada or to two categories such as beef and carne asada would clarify it and obtain a better feel for public sentiment.
