2 tacos for 99 cents had to make the year of tacos. A quick stop by Jack in the Box on the way home from Tahoe and my tacos were done for the day for under $1 American.

Jack does make a great taco... $0.99 is quite the deal, I doubt that you could eat one of those everyday for the year. I was over on the West Side last night and stopped into Pacific Catch on 9th Ave. They have a wonderful 3 taco plate that I think you should try, and if it doesn't satisfy just walk across the street to the world famous Gordo's on 9th ave. And as a bonus the hostess was worth the trip.
I am on the phone with Thumbs trying to get a Vegas line about how many KJ's are going to have attempted late night entries while you are out in New England with Gump and the Dr. I would appreciate any inside information that you can provide.
Why would I set out to succeed in such a fantastic endeavor? The reasons are 3-fold.
#1) It's funny. This is the driving force behind my climb of the daunting mountain of tacos that looms before me.
#2) After much research, I have come to conclude that taco's may be the perfect health food! Each delicious pouch of Mexican goodness has the complex carbs (tortilla), protein (chicken, beef, pork, fish, ect.) , good fats (avocado) , fiber (beans) , and vegetation (salsa) to constitute a self-contained balanced meal.
#3) Most importantly: Taco's are just sooooooo damn TASTY!
As the the next 365 days (actually 366 because it is a leap year) tick by, I will be posting a picture of each taco I consume, along with a short (or long if I'm feeling particularly verbose that day) description of my experience with said taco.
Thank you in advance for you support. I wouldn't be able to succeed without so many of you backing me in this effort. Fred fred@thedailytaco.com
