Since Saturday was the Chinese New Year celebration in SF, I figured a Chinese food taco was in order. Wrapped in a corn tortilla, a cheese and Chow Mein base topped with Mongolian beef, orange chicken, sweet and sour sauce, and jalapenos was the perfect fusion of Chinese and Mexican cuisine. Happy year of the Rat, and happy year of the Taco!

The 6-9 Cav Especial looks better that this concoction.
On a related note: If you ever venture to San Jose (as I was forced to do this weekend to visit baby-Tahenys), you must visit La Victoria Taqueria. La Victoria is the home of the amazing Orange Sauce, a bottle of which is now resident in el refrigirador del Chez. It's quite tasty.
can't wait for the tacstravaganza/bday madness!
ps. senor salty wasn't very festive for valentines day. i hope he shows some irish pride for St. Patrick starting very soon to make up for it!
I thought senor salty was especially and delightfully festive on Valentine's Day and hardly think he could have been more so.
And P.S. it looks like you may be eating rat in your taco - which is taking the chinese new year thing a bit far.
Gung Hey Fat Choy! And there is never a good reason to go to San Jose, that taco could have been made of gold and encrusted with rubies and diamonds and there still wouldn't be a reason to pass SFO. Mmmm Andale at SFO, I am thinking of you as I plan my next escape from SF.
Fort Collins enjoys your blog, keep up the good eating young lad.
